I just received a call from these people stating that they are requiring that the settled on payment of $280.00 be received in their office no later than 11/30/07 or my account will go to charge off...Does anyone have a clue what this means ? they are illegal in my state (MO) and she wants to threaten me w/ charge off

a charge off will go on your credit report, but can a pdl do that??

If they send the account to collections, the collection agency can report it to the credit bureau. I think that you can dispute it though if the pdl is illegal.
