David, are you nuts? Nobody can actually live like that. You can make sacrifices without living like a refugee.

about running up your electric bill or water bill, but at least you'll
get that pay day loan paid off.Who cares if you stink.

guest, didn't you say you paid them? even if you did not pay them, there is no way you should have to put up with this but i thought you said you did?

What if you already worked out a payment with the corporate office and have been paying them regularly and just stopped, can they still get a civil suit against you. I'm in SC by the way and they are legal here.

ks, I would assume that they would.. if you just stopped and haven't talked to them as to why you stopped. Specially after you had already made payment aragments.

It's always a good idea to keep in communication with your legal lenders.

i agree, for some reason i thought you paid them off in full and they were still harrassing you. legal companies abide by the laws and can also pursue (civil) legal action.

lower your living standards, don't refrigerate food or cook food, only eat foood for the day, unplug your refrigerator. live without it, it cost more than you think, It's cheaper to eat out than run a refrigerator. turn off your water heater entirely. Heat water on the stove in a big pot and place in shower, make comfortably warm with additional cold water and take shower with the limited water, scoop water with a bowl over your body. This is 3rd world method.
What in tarnations, this is very drastic to suggest. Many folks have kids. So we are supposed to send our kids to school hungry and in potatoe sacks for clothing. I understand people live in substandard conditions around the world, but I highly doubt it is by choice. Get Real!

sounds to me like some kind of crazy collector tactic. i have gotten many "budget suggestions" over the years as how i can save money to pay off debt. one collector even asked if i could steal from a family member!!
