nj, Lord, keeping up with all these overseas illegal companies is a job all in itself! I can see where you would associate Sonic with them. Hell, I can see where anyone would associate any of these overseas with anything! They do a damn good job of hiding their "identity". But, all in all, I'm glad we agree. And I hope jay listens. Hell, keep your money, you can't say you didn't TRY to pay them. Nothing like BEGGING an illegal company to take your money. No friggin way.

you would think that they would stop loaning here in the u.s., but i guess they are making good money off the people who are not aware of their rights.

jay, you filed with the FTC, correct? That is the main one regarding overseas companies. And you file with YOUR state AG. Just file. And, regarding your bank account, you posted that they stated they would "continue to debit your account". Is your account to the point to where it is safe from debits?

right now it is opened because it is in the arrears, so I will just have to freeze it when i go in to pay the fees on thursday, but i already have another acct elsewhere. so i will just take the papers with me showing that they are refusing to accept payments and that they will continue to debit my acct.

I have filed with the FTC but not the AG in regards to this company, but I will do so today

Please just get the account to the point to where it can NOT be debited. Do whatever you have to do to get this done, jay. And, please do file with your state AG regarding these idiots. If nothing else, at least you will have documentation. You want documentation of everything. The more you have in writing, the better off you will be.

This is their last reply.....

The payment arrangement that you have offered has been declined. We have no option other than to attempt payment from the previous account until you provide new details. The loan will continue to accrue charges for each pay date that passes without payment being received, all as per the terms of the agreement. We will also continue to make every effort to make contact by telephone to ensure collection of the loan is achieved.

Now what?? And I have sent them the letter telling them not to contact me any other way accept for email or USPS and I have revoked them from touching my acct any longer, so I guess I will just take this to my bank, but now I am going to have to keep the acct open.

I have been following yiur posts because i have some of the same loans. I have also been reading other posts and advice that was given. I do not understand why your account is still opened, also if this co is an illegal company, why do you want to keep your account opened so thay can get your money. It makes no sense to me

because some banks will not allow you to close or freeze your account if there are outstanding nsf's or debits pending.

I would just try and get that account closed for good. Then just never answer the phone again when they call, done deal.... they have to just give up eventually. Tell these loan sharks you are done with them then and they will not be receiving any payments from you and your previous offer is withdrawn.

I would imagine that if you go talk to the bank manager or someone else? Just tell them that this company refuses to stop trying to debit your account so they will need to close it down for.

njl, with these people it's not that easy, they will hound your co workers, boss and anyone else they can get to answer.

jay, I'm confused. Why are you leaving the account open because of an illegal company who told you that they would continue to hit the account? This is an illegal company. Why, oh, why are you wanting to leave your account open for them to hit? And, please do not get so upset over the fact that they are sending these emails to you. Of course they are going to send these ugly emails to you. They have NO legal recourse to collect this illegal debt. They have to "scare" the money out of people. jay, please, do not let these people get to you. They are illegal. Period. And please do something regarding your account so that they can NOT hit it. They will continue to hit it (as they so nicely stated) forever. Please, please do not let them get to you.

I see..... I am a little lucky with that because the ipdl companies only have my direct line for work and since I have over 4,000 coworkers in the same building with random numbers they really have no way of getting in touch with any of them but me. Cash Transfer Centers does call my boss repeatedly because I must have put that info on my app with them, but I was just upfront and explained the whole thing so now he just ignores their calls as well. Can you file a harassment suit against them or anything like that for?

That sucks.... at least they reversed most of the fee's, $98 is a lot cheaper than the fee's that Payday Loan Companies would have charged you. If you are trying to find a positive twist on it
