PDL Consolidation??

Hello again:

Sorry to be a quick poster here, but I have tons of questions. I haven't seen any advice on consolidation of these PDL's. I am pretty sure that they are all legal in my state of Ohio. I am having one heck of a time getting past the beligerant collectors to set up payment plans. So, I contacted a consumer credit counseling place. They say that they can help for a $75 start-up fee that gets refunded at the end, and a $50 fee per month until paid off. They claim that I HAVE to pay these off in 6 months.

I have not signed anything yet. Any suggestions?

Is the CCC reputed in your area? Do a through research on them with your state AG and the BBB. If there are any customer complaints, you will get informed about their business and ask them to clarify, before you decide to sign up the contract.

I'm not sure about the 6 months, maybe that depends on how much you owe??? The company I got a quote from set my payment up for 21 months.

Langhonre Law, that some people here have used for Internet pdl's, and Town and Country Associates have used for store front and Internet pdl's, and to my knowledge have been succsseful. I do not have readily available their infomation, but I have no doubt that someone with this information will be along shortly. I do know that pay day loans do not last forever, but frineds and sites like the one you are on now..DO!

I just don'T understand the 6-month thing. I have now contacted all of the companies on my own separately and have asked for a different payment plan. If they accept mine, I will definitely use that instead of the consolidation place. The payment they were asking per month was STEEP!

Is the company you spoke with aware that these are pay day loans you want to pay? And have to checked to be sure the pay day loan companies are/are not licensed in your state? As they stated in above posts, check out the company on the BBB site. Just to see what it says. Also, first check and see if these pay day loan companies are even licensed in your state. Check it out and let us know what you find out!

T&C definitely works with PDL's. My down payment was 207 and my monthly was 135 (but I didnt' chose to do it at this time). That was way better than the fact that I was paying 1100. per month before to these loansharks! I can get you contact info. for T&C if you need it but I would go for it on my own first. I have and I've been very successful so far.
