I have a payday loan with AIP. I just discovered they aren't licensed in Indiana. They have been taking 89 out of my account for about 4 months on 200.00 What can I do? I closed my bank account & opened a new one. I called and asked to repay & was told they only take it out of a checking. What can I do?

I am not familiar with AIP but I'm sure they don't HAVE to take it out of checking, they are probably trying to bully you into giving out your account information so they can keep sucking it dry! I just started fighting my payday loan lenders and so far so good... so hang on and someone else will help you that knows far more than me. Just know, you're not alone and you can fight it! Good luck!

I do not even think that Aip is a legal loan. If you have already paid off the principle borrowed, then you are done with them. If not tell them you no longer have any bank account and if they want payment they will have to take it on your terms.

No, no, no!!! AIP is a "verbal agreement" pdl! They are not licensed to lend anywhere! How often have they taken the 89.00 out of your account for the past 4 months? This was a 200.00 loan. I can promise you that you've overpaid. You closed your bank account. Good. Do NOT give them any new bank information. File a complaint immediately with the BBB, the FTC, and your state AG. 99 percent of the time, AIP will settle just with the BBB complaint. You do NOT need to send them any more money. Figure out how much they have debited you already. You will see that you have already overpaid. If this is indeed the case, they will refund the overpayment. Please do not give them any more information and file those complaints. AIP is one of the first ones to comply with a BBB complaint.

I stood my ground with AIP and received a refund of $245. So definitely file a complaint as it worked for me...they hated I complained..
Good Luck.
