Does anyone know what AIP's email address would be? I have paid off a loan back in February, and I have overpaid, so I am considered asking them for a refund. Also do they have any dba that they operate under? I want to file complaints as well, but I want to double check if they are actually licensed under any other name first...seriously doubt it though. They never sent me a contract, all verbal, so I don't have any paperwork for reference.

Joshua - Check out this thread -

It's about my experience with AIP . . . . They were very easy to work with once you get the right person on the phone.

Hi goudah, yes, I actually found your thread and read it last night when I was looking up this company in the forum. I'm not looking for a pif in this case though, since I've already paid them back in full several months ago. BUT I am wondering if they will be so cooperative if I ask for money back. I paid a total of $556 on a $200 loan.

They may . . . . Just keep calling them until you get someone that can actually make that decision on the phone.

Well, it is good to know that someone did get a refund from them. I just feel nervous about calling to ask for a refund, though, especially at work. I did send them a fax. I searched the forum pages and all I could find was their physical address and phone number, still no email.

For some reason, I was thinking that I have read somewhere that AIP is somehow affiliated with World Wide Cash.

Well, it is easy to make the assumption that WWC and AIP are affiliated---those crooks have similar operations! They both are based out of the UK, but they have offices in DE, and they have the same darn expensive refinance fees...$89 for a $200 loan.

joshua, AIP does NOT have an email address. They have a physical address of American International Processing, LLC 2207 Concord Pike #419 Wilmington, DE 19803. Telephone: 800-274-4159 Fax: 800-441-6383 They d/b/a Cash Relief Limited. I got a refund from them. They never responded to any of my correspondence even though I sent a letter and fax almost every single day. One day, my bank account had a credit on it from them. What?? I just took it and ran! Then a couple days later, I got a response from the BBB from AIP. The letter AIP sent to BBB was that they had refunded me, the account was not closed, and is marked paid in full. AIP never contacted me at all. I think the BBB scared the crap out of them!!! You are in the same situation as I was. It was a verbal agreement. No signed documents. If you haven't already filed with the BBB and AG and IC3, do it NOW. Even though it's been a while, you still overpaid and they owe you a refund. Honestly, me personally, I wouldn't try to contact AIP again, as they do NOT respond. File with the BBB. They got results. And I wasn't even "in the loop"!!And they refunded every penny over the amount of the loan. They did not charge any fees or anything. Every dollar over the loan amount was refunded. So do it! File with the BBB and everyone else. I was astounded. I think you will be, too. Since they so easily refunded me, without even contacting me, I think you'll get your refund. The BBB came through on this one for me! GO GET THEM JOSHUA!

Cannr, that is great...you are the third person on this forum that got a refund from this place! I am worried though because if they try to send a refund to my old bank account, it will be returned since I closed it...they what? I'd had to think I wouldn't see that money again, just because my account was closed. I am filing with the BBB and the FTC right now!

joshua, I do believe that once the BBB gets a response from AIP, you'll get your refund. If they try to pull the "credit the bank account and then respond to the BBB" game, as they did with me, then the BBB would respond to you that AIP attempted to refund you via ACH credit to your account; however, the ACH credit was returned. You can then respond that your account is CLOSED and they can send you a check. Or they can Money Gram it or Western Union it. Hell, the pdl's all want US to Money Gram or Western Union them! They can Money Gram and Western Union US! I really feel as though you can get a refund; however, I understand your concern about the account being closed. Luckily, mine was closed yet. But you get to respond to the BBB. So in your response, tell them you want your refund via check mailed to you. Don't give them any other bank account information (I'm sure you wouldn't anyway). I have a good feeling about it for you. They have been refunding people because they know they're wrong. You have every right to ask for your refund via check mailed. You can even include that in your BBB complaint. That you want a refund by check mailed to your address.

How long did it take you to receive a refund from them after you sent your complaint to the BBB?

joshua, that's the best part of what happened to me. I got the friggin refund BEFORE I got a response from the BBB! AIP must have freaked when contacted by the BBB and just refunded the money. Then they responded to the BBB telling them that they refunded me! It's actually quite funny! So the BBB contacted me and that's when I saw the letter they sent the BBB in response. That's the first I ever saw or heard anything from AIP! So once the BBB gets your complaint, they'll contact AIP. AIP will probably act upon the complaint before responding to the BBB. So it won't take long.
