Got a call from ameriloan today stating that they wanted to work out some arrangements with paying the loan off. I told the gentleman that I spoke with I have paid mounds of money to them. I told them they were operating illegally in NC. They stated that they contacted the NC AG office and they said they weren't illegal. They said that they are going to try to debit my account again and then report me to telecheck and a third party collection. I told them to be sure they tell them that they operated illegally. Do I call them back or what?

Hmmmm. I think I would wait to see what their next move is. I'll bet they haven't even contacted the ag.

They had to contact the AG to find out if they were illegal?? That makes no sense, don't fall for it. They are illegal and not licensed anywhere. How much do you still owe them?

Ask your bank to block ameriloan from making any debits in your account. You'll have to be pro-active before they get the access to your account and withdraw funds. I hope your bank seems to be helpful.

Sfate, I wouldn't worry about them. If you overpaid them, you're done. Just file complaints with the AG, BBB, FTC, etc.
