I took out a loan and I had paid back $ 270.00. Today they took out a draft check unauthorized for $ 390.00. The total balance I have paid back is $ 660.00. The loan was for $ 300.00.

I live in Indiana...The loan was back in Nov of 2007...Is there anything I can do? I cant close my checking account because I have my direct deposit in that one. I dont get paid until 2/8/08.

Has anyone had any luck with getting a refund?

You could go to your bank and fill out a dispute. Tell them that you did not authorize that transaction. I am here to tell you though, if you do not close your account, they will continue to debit your account. I have direct deposit also, and had no problem closing my account, I just explained to my employer that I was opening a new account at a different bank, they sent me a paper check until they had the new account information and had it set up for deposit. I think it only took two weeks (I get paid bi-weekly). Someone will be along to advise you soon, just hang in there. But you will need to supply more information.
What state you live in.
Who your loans are with.
How much you paid.
How much you borrowed.
Internet or storefront loans.

If they are located in Miami, OK they are located on an Indian Reservation. I have a loan with Usfastcash. Same location Miami OK. I filed with AG beginning of this month. Still waiting for outcome. I also want a refund of $225 overpayment and a PIF.
