I have been dealing with these people and i orginally took out a pdl for $200.00 for the Loan Shop. Well i closed my account before any amounts were withdrawn. I sent them the letter that I got off her well today they emailed me and told me it must be a template blah blah blah. Well, i sent it back again and they said they would settle for the $200.00 that I owe, but basically said because i contacted the better business burea i guess i was at fault. I intend to pay these jerks, although i don't want to so my question is do I have to pay it all at once or can i make payments on it? If the loan is illegal what can they do to me.

Honestly? Since they are illegal and you do intend to pay them the principle amount, send them what you can afford when you can. Don't feel the pressure to pay it all at once in one big lump sum. What can they do? Harrass the living crap out of you (and they most likely will). However, email them and tell them that you will pay the principle amount of $200; however, you have to make payments. If possible, list out your payment dates for them so it's clear.

Thanks cannr, sometimes i feel like all the headache and hassle gone through with these places I would really rather tell them to -___ off and not pay them. It is my fault of course but there are days it is frustrating.
