i received a call to day from a payday loan that i had taken out in october. i had to close the bank account for other reasons and i forgot about the payday loan. i need to pay them back ...the loan was for $200 now they are trying to charge me $820.00
they said that i needed to pay with in half an hour or they were going to send an arrest warrent for me to the local police department . i tried to explain the situation but they guy was just as rude as you can imagine with a foreign accent that i couldnt understand.

they also said that they were gonna block my ss#...can they do that...what does that even mean??

someone please help

Non one is coming to arrest you , so please stop worrying about that. It is just a very illegal scare tatctic to force you into paying.

ok well he said that they are sending in my information to the local police dept to get an arrest warrent.. i cant go to jail..im a single mom of 2
what should i do??

first thing to do is stop crying and worrying. You are not going to jail. Moast of us had the same threats. If you think about it, people usually dont call to warn you that you are going to be arrested. It is nothing more that a very illegal scare tactic. Please stop worrying

ok so i called this guy back to find out information about the court date that is supposibly for tomorrow. and he started telling me that im this and that and that i am treating it like it was a walk in the zoo or something.
at first he said that it was scheduled for 11 am and now he says it is at 2 pm and that someone will call me within the hour and that the police were going to go to my house today and get me!!! and he will not talk to me and keeps on hanging up[/b]

tell him if he wants to send them to pick you up earlier that you are ready now, and hang up on him. Also you can tell him that his actions are illegal and you will be filing papers against him and his company

Well, you can always call the court house if you want to settle your nerves, just to prove there is no court date set for tomorrow or any other time.

Try this....get the ph# to your local PD (not 911). They next time you talk to them, ask them to hold do you can get the PD on the line 3-way call...I mean after all, if the police are coming then they should know that right? See what the PDL does at that time.

This is a majorly ugly scare tactic that is uncalled for.

Who is the PDl you are dealing with here?

Edit:I see its ashland funding....

ok so i called and looked online at the circuit court of chicago...and i was not on there..so this A-hole was just playing?? WTF!! that is sooooooooooo wrong!

so can anyone tell me what it means to have them "block my ss#"

May,they cannot block your ss# either. Please try not to talk to them as they are big fat liars and they try really hard to scare and upset people. Please complain to the FTC and BBB about their threats and behavior. It is very illegal for them to do this. I am sorry for what you have had to go through. We are all here for you!
