Cash Central & Payday One are legal companies, and you will ahve to make arrangements to repay those debts.
The other's are not operating legally in CA.
They cannot take you to jail for not paying. Lenders must be licensed by CA to lend in CA, so they are the one's breaking the law. CA's law specifially mentions internet lenders.
In fact, United Cash Loans has already been told by CA to stop lending to it's residents. See the cease & desist order at the link below:
http://www.corp.ca.gov/ENF/pdf/2006/ameriloan.pdf
That will give you some good ammunition to fight them with.

Everything you want to be in writing, so you have a record of it.

So goudah, if Ameriloan, One Click Cash and United Cash Loans have already been giving the C and D to residents of CA that can't be good for MNE. Maybe there's hope for other states doing the same?

Other state's have issued c & d orders against pdl's . . . But it doesn't seem to phase the pdl's, as they just continue business as usual . . .

Krimefighter, you could just tell them that they are not licensed to do business in California, and that California requires them to be licensed in order to lend to its residents. Therefore, they are operating illegally in that state. Also, you could reference the cease and desist orders on the ones who have had them issued to them.
