What can internet payday loans do to you if you do not pay or close your bank account?

They can harrass you like crazy, threaten, lie and turn you over to a third party collector. Or they can work with you to set up a payment plan. They are all different. Do you have some of them? If so tell us who they are , how much you borrowed, how much you have paid them so far and the state that you live in.
