I received a form letter from the BBB of Delaware regarding payday Yes. Basically, their form letter just said "Thank you for the info you furnished, it has been made a part of our file on the subject. What exactly does that mean? That they have numerous complaints and mine is just being added to he pile? Then by chance a couple of days later I hear from somebody different from Payday Yes. Remember, these were the people who told me that they were going to sell my account to some junk collectors and would not be contacting me any more. WHY ARE THEY CALLING ME NOW???

Next time when they call you, tell that you have already notified to the local BBB and they are on the process of investigating them.

Do you have anything in writing from Payday Yes? Your response will have a stronger effect while dealing with them.

I can't believe that with all of the complaints the pdls haven't been shut down. They prey on people who are in desperate situations. Yes, we know that the interest rates are high, but when you feel you have nowhere else to turn, what do you do? Then they scare you half to death by threatening jail or law suits!!! Thank goodness for this forum because I was out of my mind with fear of being arrested or something from the the pdl companies. I hope that someday soon all of the pdls (storefront and internet) are shut down for good and that there will be some good solid choices for people like myself with "challenged credit."

I think we all feel the same way you do about PDL's, and almost all of us have been there, to some extent, in dealing with them.

I'd love to see them shut down. I have dealt with them myself, and swore never to do it again. In fact, when I had to close my checking account to stop them from debiting me to death, I simply didn't re-open one. I merely function without one. It took some adjustment, but it's not impossible. And it keeps me from EVER being tempted to take out another payday loan, because the majority of them won't give you a loan without a checking account.

Hi Suebee. I think it's a great idea to not have a checking account. They can't get what they don't have access to. Also, in my case it would keep me from ever spending money that I don't have. I'm going to give some thought to not having a checking account. I still find myself tempted to "float" checks, which is why I got into this trouble to begin with. Smile

If you have a tendency to float checks, maybe not having a checking account is a good idea. There are also places where you can get prepaid debit cards. You load money onto them and can only spend up to the amount you have. That way if you ever run into a situation where you need a card you will have one.

I have tried to contact Pay Day yes without any luck. They are debting 290.00 from my chekcing account each month and I believe my debt to them is paid. Does anyone know how to reach them?

There are 2 different companies with similar names. Payday Yes, and Payday Loan Yes.

Roxy is right that Payday Loan Yes is also Cash Net 500. But Payday Yes is not affiliated with the two.
