I posted this in the sticky topic, but I wasn't sure if anyone would see it...

Does anyone here know what the magic words are for Bank of America? I can't seem to find anyone who knows how to block ACH transactions for a closed account. I closed my account last week due to lost/stolen checks and I asked several times if anything else would go through. They assured me that it would be closed in 48 hours and anything else would be returned. Sure enough, it was reopened by ACH debits on Friday. When I called they said that anything coming through in a 30-day period would open the account. I NEED to get this account closed by the end of the month!!!

ask for a hard debit block or deposit only during the 30-day closure period.

Hey, I just closed my account with BOA and the PDL company tired to debit the account but it didnt work and it was only closed for 2 days...I spoke to a branch manager..You may want to ask for a branch manager I told him my situation about the illegal loans and they made sure nothing was forced thorough and they even gave me a recepit

ok, looks like tracking down a branch manager is what I need to do. How do they have more ability to do things than any other people in the bank (excluding tellers, of course)?

Yes, speaking with a manager is always the best. They do have the ability and knowledge to make things right.
