I've never dealt with BOA but it would be in your best interest to give them a call and ask them.

I had an account at BOA and closed it. The bank said it cannot be forced open.

Just to make sure, I would go to the bank and double check with the manager.

I think that is something that they tell you. They told me the same thing when I tried to close an account. I had them mark the accounts for credits only, which prevented pdl's from getting anymore money. I opened another account with them and was able to direct deposit my check to the new account. I am with BOA, and they do have a "force open" policy up to 30 days after closing your account. What you will need to do is go directly into the bank and have a restriction freeze placed on your account. This can be done by a Branch Manager. I will caution you though, they can still overide a freeze at BOA headquarters. Sad Best of Luck!!
