I would advise anyone against getting one because 99.9% of the time PDL=predatory lending.

I totally agree! I think many of us would have NEVER taken the first one if we could do it over again, and know what we know now.

I am not proud of the vicious circle I allowed myself to get in with PDL'S, but I sure learned a valuable lesson. I now have two jobs to keep me going, and I will work both of them until I drop before I EVER borrow from a PDL again, that is a promise I made to myself.

Amen to that! Please, please listen to him. These jerks can make your life a living hell. It is never worth it. Hopefully more and more states will go after these guys and shut them down!

I totally agree! Once you get started with them, they are hard to stop because it seems you always need to borrow to cover what you owe and next thing you know, you are worse off then you were before. Stay away from these type of loans, far, far away!!! Look for help else where, and do not take out a pdl!

This Christmas Eve I was searching through piles of old receipts that I throw in a box hoping some cash would be mixed in. I was so tempted to take a payday loan that I felt like a junkie with my Jones going on. I found six bucks with which I bought a couple of necessities. Now I am at work and my December last check is here with nothing coming out. I feel like I won the battle. Can't wait for the New Year!

I tell you what, when I look at the money I've paid to these companies, it makes me want to cry. They are SO easy to fall into, wish there was a way, at least on those internet loans, that somehow a big "warning" sign could be posted on the screen every time someone wanted to enter a payday website. About the only positive thing I can say that came out of this is that I learned a very hard lesson...
