I live in Vermont and I have 6 payday loans. I just stopped letting them withdraw from my checking account because it has been months since I have seen any of my paychecks. I still owe and I have to pay them back but they are calling me at work threatening me with jail and telling me I will never be able to write another check. I don't know what to do. I do owe money so I have every intention of paying it back I just can't keep letting them take my whole check every week. What do I do???? Help!!

Write letters to the pdl companies along with your proposal letter. They can't threaten you with jail. You need to file your complaints with the AG's office.

Review the laws of your state and go through your bank statements. You need to know the actual status of each account and work out an arrangement.
