hi, guys, need some help. me and my husband both have a cash advance through cash advance usa, my husband owes 150.00 and i owe 300.00, back in sept, i kept getting threatening phone calls, emails, etc, same ol story, and finally we paid 150.00 on my husband(who originally owed 300.00) they were so mean, i never responded back. never heard from them again, yeserday and today, i got calls saying i have 24 hours to call them, or they are turning over to our county attornys office, which they also said last year. this guys name is robert hernandez,with spartan and associtates, he says, he left the #800-813-6810, i looked up on google, not who he says it is, like some sports gambling thing.
they are so rude, and we do owe, but he says they will settle out of court for 500.00, what a joke. are they legit, and what should i do? i dont want to call them, i spoke to them last year on this, and they donot negotiate,so i am not sure what to do. i donot want to talk on the phone to them, i am not going to let them just threaten me. thanks for any input

Mrs, I called and a man answered and was rude. He answered Spartan Recovery and Legal Services. I would suggest, if you are up to it, call him and tell him that you need his mailing address. Tell him in accordance with the FDCPA, you are going to send him a request for debt validation...see where that gets you. He will most likely be beligerent. BUt that may stop him for awhile. If he is collecting on a debt, send him a request for debt validation.
