Upon sending my C/D and Revoke Letter, I received the following response from CAN. I believe that he meant to say "Your" rather than "our," but the typo makes it even better.
"Our research is incorrect….
We debited $80 this morning. If returned we will place your account with a third party collector and report to the credit bureaus."
I wonder if he will enlighten me as to how my research is incorrect. Somehow I don't think the Attorney General will feel the same way!! I'm going to see what he says when asked to provide a license number!

I sent a response asking which portions of my research are incorrect and asked for a license number.
He responded with: "Sir, please read my previous statement."
I guess I'll use his response as verification that they are unlicensed. This is kinda fun!

Definitely!!
I replied back and stated that I will take his lack of response to mean that they are unlicensed.
I am filing with the AG today, and already hit up the BBB. I think I might just keep emailing him!
Any other ideas? It seems that only one person has had any luck. Has anyone else had any luck with PIF's from CAN? I've decided not to bother with the refunds, and just go for a PIF!

I would think so! They are definitely trying to hide something!
My credit is finally starting to come up, so I'd rather not have them send it to a collection agency! I think if it goes that route, I'll just pay them.... at least the fees have stopped! I finally closed my account so I don't have to worry about that!
Any ideas if they DO follow through with their threat of sending it to a collection agency?

I got a $200 loan, which I paid $240 in fees on, along with $50 toward the principal. According to them, I owe $130. Maybe $150 after the payment gets returned from my newly closed account!
