I am currently unemployed and I have stopped paying CashCall. I have heard in the wake of the California lawsuit they are sending out generous settlements to accounts in default such as pay $1000 and be done with it. They recently sent me an offer to make a payment and get a two month deferment. Should I take the deferment or hold out for the overall settlement offer?

As far as my knowledge is concerned only the members of the United States Military Reserve or the National Guard who is called to active duty and their employer does not provide the regular income can only go for deferment. This is not general to all.

I have a written offer to defer, but I have been reading about the settlement offers from others on this forum.

I just got an offer from a Cashcall to pay less than 50% of my current debt. (owe around 3500 - they are asking to pay about 1500). It all happened after I send them S & D letter and cancelled my ACH authorization for them. They tried to send me couple scary letters before and after I ignored them - I got this.... I am ready to settle.
Some friend is giving me a money now, so I can actually pay them - I will accept their offer.

if you can afford to, i would accept it, too.. as long as everything is in writing. this way, they will be off your back and you will feel so much better.
