This forum has given me very valuable information on PDL's. Now..I have a 'tough' question. I recieved from a company called Cash Call. They are based in California. I live in PA. Cash Call chargers nearly %99. Obviously, I couldn't afford the payments. PDL's don't appear on credit reports, but, Cash Call is on mine. I don't think they are 'legit' because of all the % they charge. Any advice from 'you wonderful people'?

cajun is right! Cashcall is legal and they do not even lend in some states because of laws. They are financially backed by a bank.

Thanks for the advice. I'll do that. Cash Call is the only 'big' deliquent account, I have, on my credit. I'm sure I can find some info on how to deal with them.

I've read some ugly stuff about them. But like stated above, they are legal (unfortunately). Keep us updated on how you're doing with them.

They are really awful to work with. Pretty much if you don't do exactly what they want they get ugly.

If you know about any class actions against them, please let us know. I love to follow cases like this.

The 'thing', that bothers me, is......there are several people that have tried to deal with CashCall ( as I have ssen on this forum, anyway) and, obviously these people are having no success. I've done SOME research..I've called different consolidation comapnies, etc, and from what I am being told, " Cash Call cannot be touched." So.if ANYONE out there finds any info, please let me know. My 'Quick Messages' aren't working correctly, so, please PM me. Thanks.

As far as anything I have seen they are legally, outrageously high rates, but legal

I would love to see a class action suit against this company, but I don't know what it would be for. Federal law allows banks to export their home states interest rate laws to any state they are operating in. Which is how Cash Call gets away with the ridiculously high interest rates. But if there was a suit going on that would be great. These kind of places need to be put out of business.

How can they be 'legal', with all of that high % they charge? Gosh!! I wish I never got invovled with them. But....I am getting some good ideas, on how to deal with them, from different posts I've read. Thanks everyone.

Because Federal Law allows FDCI insured banks to import the interest rates from their home state to other states. They are based out of Deleware, where there is no cap to interest rates. So per Federal Law they are allowed to charge any rate they want in any state.
