I just found thisand was wondering what you all think. If I am reading right on their site. They do not loan in Iowa, MA, MI, NJ NY WI, and of couse WV. I do know for a fact they are not loaning here. If you are from one of these states I would start compaining if you have a loan with CASHCALL. KYSIDE38

Do these states happen to have an interest rate cap? Or Usury laws? Cuz I know that with the 99.5 interest rate they would never settle for less. They are such a ridiculous company. They just feed off of people who are in dire need of cash. and to think, I almost used them to get out of my mess. I would be in a bigger mess now!

Yep they do not loan in WI. I called them one time when I saw their ad on TV. I was real pissy with them. I told them if they are not allowed to lend in WI then do not advertise in this state or at least have something on the ad that lists the states they cannot lend in. He told me that would be to expensive to change the ad. I said well don't you think your interest rate is too expensive? he hung up on me lmao.

Well that makes no sense to me whatsoever. If they can't even lend in a state, why would they even spend the cash and advertise there? Don't see the logic behind that one...

I think that they advertise because they think that maybe the laws will change or that they might be able to slip between the cracks and get the lenders that they are looking for.

Interesting. I don't know but maybe the FCC should be told. There are laws governing advertising, for example, one state cannot advertise its lottery in another.

I haven't seen their commercials in quite some time..I used to get a big kick out of them. Seems they were always on kind of late, always after prime time.

I didn't think they loaned in Ohio, I could be wrong. I have been seeing Gary Coleman quite frequently as of late advertising how they saved his butt. These commercials come on late at night.

Gary Coleman got a payday loan! That's pathetic! Last I heard he assaulted a woman and pushed her into a gumball machine..Maybe they loaned him the bail money.
Here's something that has nothing to do with Cashcall, but it's so damn funny I have to share it. The 8-month-pregnant sister of a co-worker of mine was just arrested for robbing check into cash at knifepoint last week. She only was able to get a few hundred dollars. I almost think the whole thing was justifiable..She probably had a loan with them.

Lawstudent that is what I was told here by AG that it is national advertising. I think they may be looking into it since payday loans are ILLEGAL here. Fins who could blame her? That is a good one. KYSIDE38

What did she really expect to accomplish by that?
Hey Steelers...they do lend in OH, or last I heard they did. a pal of mine from work got a loan with them and is miserable because of it!

I feel bad for your co-worker. And why on earth did that 8 month pregnant woman rob the check cashing store! She won't see her baby until it graduates high school! What a felony she committed, I think they tack on extra time in some states (at least they do in OH) when a deadly weapon is used in the commission of a crime. If you use a gun it is a mandatory additional 5 years, no early release on that 5 years either. She was probably being threatened she'd be arrested if she didn't pay up on the defaulted loan, so she figured she'd give them a real excuse to have her arrested!

I'd really like to know more details about this..Poor girl. I know that my co-worker is going to have temporary custody of the baby..Until the girl gets out of jail and can prove herself fit.

Cashcall advertises in Michigan too, and Michigan is on their list of states they don't lend into. I think that would support the national advertising theory.
