One payday loan left

PostPosted: Thu Jan 24, 2008 12:12 pm Subject: One payday loan left

I have one payday loan left and I am unemployed now.
I ran out of unemployment so I was doing something for a company on my own contract and they did not pay me so now Cashland put the checks through my bank and did not clear.
I live in Ohio the loan was 802.10 with two checks for 401.05 each check. What can I do? Any help would be appreciated. I have been dealing with them for a long time like 2 years and always paid before or on the due date. This is the first time ever this has happened. I called their collections in Cincinnatti and they don't have the account yet
Will they work with me on this? I do have some interviews set up for positions, I have 20 years in sales experience. I have not slept nights and haven't eaton hardly at all over this. I only have my brother and my Dad and they are strapped. My Dad is 82 has cancer and my brother is hoping for a disability check settlement soon. The job market is very slim right now. If it wasn't for my Dad and brother I would relocate somewhere to find a position in my sales experience. Right now I'm praying and hoping something comes my way real soon.
Somebody please help me Any help or advise would really be appreciated

Thank you

Is this a storefront or an internet loan?

If they are a CFSA member they will work out a payment plan. I have trouble getting in the member area for some reason. Could someone check?

Have you asked about working out a payment plan? It is best to approach them first before they start playing hardball with you.

When it goes back, it goes to Cincinnatti, Ohio to the collections part. I have already called them and they haven't received it yet. She said that it takes 7-10 days to get to them. The store has nothing to do with it now, they just do the lending.

I will contact them again tommorrow to see if they have the account.

My experience has been that if you keep in contact and try to make payment arrangements they will work with you. Just call them. It cannot hurt.

If I have to I will contact everyday to let them know what is going on. This will get paid someway somehow.
I have always paid my bills. This is the first time anything like this happened to me. I have good credit 1year and a half of creditbut not a longevity of 3 years like loan companies and banks want though.

Have you dealt with this particular company?

What can do to me? that is my question. My brother and Dad won't survive without me

Thanks for your help

Hi Kp. I am sorry to hear that you are going through such a rough time. First I do not believe they will put you in jail or anything. If you make good faith payments to them and work out a reasonable plan most places will accept it. They just want their money. I sincerely hope that your life gets a little better soon Smile
