I got a call from a Calvin Daniels telling me that he was from the law offices of Cash Net. I asked him the name of his law office and the phone number and he told me that he could not give out that information, then he proceeded to tell me that I will be picked up tomorrow and taken to court and will owe $5K on a $300 loan. Then when I asked him for my signed loan documents, he told me that I had no right to see them. He spoke very bad English and the caller ID said "Sallelite TV" with the number 973-482-3624. I called the number back and it's out of service. Can they really do that to me? I told him not to call me at work and hung up on him. He called me back and left me a message on my voice mail telling me to call him at 410-713-4846, not to ignore his message and he wished me the best of luck. isn't it against the law to call me when i told him not to call me? Does anyone have any information on Cash Net?

No he can't.

There are two Cash Nets. One is CashNet USA which is legal in most states and then there is just a plain CashNet which is illegal.

If they are making threats like that my guess is you are dealing with the illegal one.

he calle me three times at works since I told him not to. It was the same voice, very broken English, but this time he gave me another name and another phone number, with a different area code. how do I tell them to stop calling me at work? They would not give me any information at all on their company.

You can get their mailing address or fax number then send them a C&D letter. Most will not honor them and call you anywayz, but it is worth a shot.

i'm still searching for their addy to send a c&d, they only call me about 2 or 3 times a week. i get the same scripted message, "i need a return call immediatly from you or your reprasented attorny, and if you dont return this call the very second you get this message, all i can do is wish you good luck". yeah yeah yeah. they still havent picked me up or took me to court. the thing is the #'s they call on are spoofs, if you call them back they are either disc or they just ring and no one answers. all you can really do is hang up on them. dont believe anything they say. when i finally do find thieir address, not that it wil do much good, i will be sure to post it for everyone to see.

Ignore them and do not answer the calls. CashNet is Illegal.

You are exactly right, that same script from the guy who poses as three different people. I have three phone numbers so far that they have left on my voicemails. The names I got so far are Nathan, Calvin and Mike. I am not sure if they are Cashnet USA or just Cashnet

Well Cashnet USA are CFSA members and are Legal in most states.

If it is just Cashnet then they are an Illegal lender.

I've been getting the same calls repeatedly for the last 2 months. They call me at work & my cell. If they call me at work & I hang up on them they turn right around & call back & threaten to call my employer(which by the way isn't legal until they take you to small claims court & win the case). One day they called me 3 times at work(I hung up every time or just set the phone down on the counter) then turned around & left 7 messages on my cell phone all the same message! Now the messages are getting bizarre & very threatening in my opinion telling me to drive very very carefully! They tell me their names are Shawn Carter(he's a foreigner) and Stanley(foreigner also).

The next time they call, get as much information as possible and then turn right around and file a complaint with the FTC. I think this is the same outfit that is passing themselves off as Sonic. net and if I am right, they are complete, total scammers. I would also file a police report and tell them you're doing it.

The don't give me any information other than they are calling from a 'law office'. The names so far have been, Calvin, Michale, Nathan, and today it was Eddie Carbo. Everytime they call, it's different phone number too. How do I get them to stop calling me at work? This is crazy. I have no idea who they are or who they represent.

This is not a "credit repair" place calling me. It's a collection agency posing as a law firm. They speak very bad English.

Sorry, that was me that send the above post. I forgot to sign in!

I have called all the numbers back that they are leaving. Out of the five of them, one worked and I asked them who they represented and he said Cash Net. A girl called me yesterday twice and could not even pronounce my name and hung up, then called me back and left another message. She must have studied my name and called me back. VERY BAD ENGLISH. They are telling me that commonwealth of PA and the sherrif are going to arrest me.

I don't beleive this is Cash Net USA. I sent them a C&D letter and recieved a written response that they would not contact me and I needed to contact them to set up payment arrangements prior to it going to third party collections. They have not called. They are legal in my state and have acted accordingly. I think the others are right and this is just a scam or illegal operation.

I think I am getting calls from the same company. However, my calls are from a Patricia White. Same message. Each time, word for word. Like she is reading a script. However, she is usually yelling because there is so much back ground noise. I try calling back and get busy signals. The thing is they are calling my work but not my cell. And she wishes me good luck and my kids good luck. These calls just started about a week ago.

It's the same company. Yesterday, they called me at work five times. The female that called could not even speak English and I hung up on her. Two seconds later, a guy by the name of Brad called. I questioned him to the point that he didn't want to talk to me. First of all, after he told me that he was "The law firm", I asked him who he represented. All he said was "cash advance", I then asked him his address, he gave me an address of a residence in CA. Then I asked him why when I call his number back, i get a disconnect message. All he said was 'really?' I then proceeded to tell him that if he contacts me at work again, he's going to need a lawyer. HE hung up on me! I have not heard from them since yesterday. Every person that called me is reading from a script. "The very second you receive this message.......".
