I am about to close my bank account to prevent two pdl's from debiting my account. They are Cashnetusa and BIG. I live in fl. I am not too concerned about BIG, but being that cashnet was operating in the state of Fl legally as an CSO, i was wondering has anyone actually gotten that far with them. I DO plan on paying them off within the next month, but because of laws changing in fl they want me to pay 669.00 all at once, something I CANNOT AFFORD. So i was going to send them their payments in an alternate way. Thanks guys in advance!

As long as you are making some attempt to pay off the loan, you should be fine as far as them taking legal action. It would take them months to get to that point, if ever.

CashNet referred me to a CA, the only PDL that did that, and I settled through that and ultimately got it off my report

I did the same as PinkLady, since putting them with my dmp, I've not heard from them and I check my account on-line and they are posting the payments they are getting to my account.

cashnetusa actually was pretty easy to work with. i am not sure if it was because i am in ohio. they allowed me to break my payment into 3. although after setting up a payment plan, they called me for three days. on the third day i got so tired of telling them the same thing, i was pretty rude to them. they finally got the hint.

When talking to the rep, try to not make an impression that you want to weasel out of paying what you actually owe, and you will be just fine. Once you set up a payment plan or some other arrangement, you won't be bothered by their collectors -- as long as you actually stick to the plan, of course.
