Well our account was turned over to a lawyer and I had payment arrangements with them, but only a temp. arrangement for 3 months. Well I made the last of those payments and had to set up a new arrangement. So I called the lawyer today and our balance there is still $719.36. I wanted to still try and make the $80 a month payment and he came back with a counter offer of a settlement of $360 and I have until April 15th to pay it. hmmmm, what to do, what to do lol. I am pulling in the belt and going to make it a little tight for 2 weeks, but I took the offer Smile I am saving $359.36. Then after I pay this I only have 2 loans left Smile and those are the ones with National Credit Adjusters (which I am paying $50 a month on each) SO starting out with 10 internet and 10 storefront I am left with 2 storefront at a CA Smile Gonna do a happy dance real soon Smile (I am not counting the MTE, or United Pay Services loans out there that the state is dealing with for me, I know I won't have to pay them anymore than I already have)Oh and I still have the famous Cash Today LTD. I miss Mr. Brian Crying or Very sad lol NOT(I know he will be calling again soon, it's been almost 30 days) Don't owe them a dime more.

Me too, cannr! I know that feeling of having a PIF in front of me. I was fortunate to come here with only 5 a little less than two months ago and after I send off my payment to Pay Day Max today, I have closed/settled 3 out of 5. . . and at the original amount I borrowed! Good job puddle. . . .testimony that it can be done. Keep up the good work guys.

Thank you so much for the kind words Smile

lol Cannr, I can see you doing the happy dance Laughing

I started this fight a little over a year ago and am so close now to ending the PDL nightmare. So not too bad 20 loans paid in a little over a year Smile On all my loans I paid what I borrowed and some got even more than I borrowed Mad

So my message is: fight these lenders, but pay back at least what they gave you in the first place, even if they are illegal (but not a dime more if they are illegal).

puddle.. .again, congrats on coming so far. I agree with you. . .fight the fight but pay back what they deposited into your account. That is what I have done with mine so far. I feel morally obligated, as well as legally (even though they are SO illegal, and two wrongs never make a right) obligated to pay back what I borrowed. Keep up the good work and have a great "dancing" day.

puddle, 20 loans? You go, honey! This is an inspiration to others here! Honestly. Because some people find it hard to imagine ever getting out from under this mess. However, we have proven that it IS possible. And, for you to have that many, a year isn't squat! That's awesome! And, it's well worth the fight once you're done. I, too, paid the illegal idiots the principle amount. I just figured I did use that money, so they can have it back. It just kills me that they want to fight you for it when they know damn well they are illegal. Whatever. They got their money (plus more in many cases), so they're gone. Good riddence to them. puddle, you are awesome! Very Happy

Oh. I just thought about it, puddle. I was pretty damn close to you! 12 internets and 5 storefronts when I started out. That's 17! Shocked Holy crap!
