does anyone know if they are illegal in washington dc? I had a 400 dollar loan and they want me to pay 800 are they crazy or what

I don't know about DC but I am fighting them right now in Michigan... they are very slow to respond to my c & d letter.

I BELIEVE (am not sure) storefront PDL/Check cashers are legal in DC, but don't know about internet or licensing requirements, etc. What company do you have a loan with? If you do a "search" here you'll probably find something about them. Hang on and I'm sure someone else w/ more knowledge than I will give you details.

Is this for 3bpaydayloans in Utah? I had a loan with them and overpaid per Ohio laws and they just refunded me the amount I over paid. I do not know what your state laws but they responded to me slowly and after I reported them to the bbb and AG. None the less I did get my refund.
