Default closing accounts

I have myself in the pdl crazy house. My bank told me to just close the account to all posting and nothing can post in the account and my banker will return any ACH coming through and to open a new account that the pdl people have no access to. I live in Tennessee

Default MomVal--Pay the overdraft & close the account ASAP!

I was overdrawn by over $250 because of Norstar Cash and US Fast Cash, so I paid the overdraft as quickly as I could and closed the account and established a new one with my credit union.

Default Internet payday Loans

I am getting Internet PDL companies trying to use voulintary wage assignment, how can I go about revoking those? I have sent letters stating I am revoking those, and asking for license information varification for the state of Michigan, What is my next step?
the two big ones are Loanshop and Zip19, and they both kept rolling me over, I did not have enough money one week and the s*@it hit the fan, I finally had to close my accounts, to stop the overdraft fees, of close to $400.00. Please help, anthing would be appreciated.

Default Fifth Third and Wachovia

I had the same thing happen to me with my Fifth Third account a few years back - tried to close it, but the ACH's opened it back up. What a nightmare!

I have just closed my account with Wachovia and I have been assured by my banker that any ACH's will NOT re-open the account, so I'll let you know if he was incorrect. I will say he was really nice and supportive over the phone about the whole matter.

Okay guys, help me out here. I am in MN and a divorce that left me with a mortgage payment I can't afford has put me into PDL hell and I have over $5000 in payday loans. My checking is seriously overdrawn ALWAYS and I can't get caught up. Now I find out that some pleaces don't accept PDL consolidation, etc. I have been told that in MN it is illegal for me to close my account and that they won't allow me to put a hard freeze on it either since I have a negative balance. Dear God, what have I dont? How do I get myself out of this hole???

Default COMPASS BANK AWESOME

This is just an update. I went and spoke to my bank today regarding the ACH revocations, and the illegal continuing of the ACH drafts.

They were awesome. They went through each pending ACH draft asked which ones were legit, and which ones weren't.

After confirming what was legit and what wasn't. They but a freeze on the account and said that according to AZ state laws, they cannot reopen a frozen account.

I have a direct deposit through the federal government that was unable to be stopped, which is why the account was frozen and not closed.

Once the direct deposit hits, Compass said they would open a new account and NOT link any of the information from the old account except internally to note the account closed due to fraud.

I agree with all of the prior posts. I went in, was honest with them, and they were AWESOME.

It was embarrassing, but honesty with the bank really paid off. I didn't have to speak with the branch manager either, got a great customer service manager who was extremely helpful.

Good Luck to everyone else out there. The information provided in this sticky and forum was such a great help in dealing with the bank.

THANK YOU!

Default Pay Day Loans

Sounds like you all want to take a loan and not repay it! A payday loan's apr is about 500% ANNUALLY! The average pdl is 23 days. The actual percent is about 20% if you do not drag it out. A bank overdraft protection cost and or fees equals 3500% ANNUALLY. Who are the bad guys now?

Did you take out a payday loan? EDESC is a ACH processor for several different payday loan companies.

Default Closing the Account

I was wondering about Checking w/Bank Policies and State Law, in reference to closing and opening a New Bank account. Cash Star Group has charged my account of over $500.00 and I told them to stop debiting my account and they don't listen. How do I close the account without worse charges happening to me!!!???

Have you spoken to your bank about the illegal debits and that you wish to close your account?
