In terms of not paying the debt! That is bull crap! We are just asking the stupid PDL companies to follow our state laws, in terms of interest, license requirements, etc. Once I found out my state laws, I paid back PRINCIPAL amounts ONLY. That is all legally you are responsible for. NO MORE! So you little troll, go back to the phones and do the work you do. Don't know how you sleep at night.

I'm in Arizona, and yes, PDL's do work to some extent, that is why Arizona allows them, but under certain guidelines so that you don't have the option to keep renewing forever! It is still a pretty hefty fee, but yes, for those who's credit sucks, the legal lenders out there, are just that, legal, and follow state laws!

My advise to EVERYONE, know your state laws before you ever get yourself in the bad situation that I did!

Default Really

I would think that it should be common sense to take a payday loan from a legitimate source...aka NOT THE INTERNET!

Use common sense, you lend from a legit payday loan company, and pay back the loan, if not, your almost as good as a thief.

Ryan34893 you are an idiot. There are legal loans on the internet.

The people that took the internet loans thought they were legal. That is why were are here to help people caught in the PDL trap make sure they are legally paying back what they owe.

Ilegal lenders are only LEGALLY owed the principle amount so if they pay that back they are not thieves.

The illegal lenders are the thieves.

nohiogal is 100 percent correct in what she is saying. People become desperate to find a way to pay an emergency and get sucked in by a predator with hidden rules and payment scheduling. My favorites (not) are the ones that make you fax your request to pay in full 48 hours before your payment date or they roll over your loan for a fee. Do you have a fax in your home? Can you get to one in 12 hours or less after you receive the email if you even saw the email? Not me! I doubt you can either. That is what they bank on. Predator defined: One who lives by by killing and devouring or parasitically draining a weaker or unaware victim. ie Some Payday Lenders but not all

I have a quick question for you all! I deposited a personal check I received after finishing a job this week. Then I got a call from the people who gave me the check to tell me that my rate (the one we had agreed on earlier) was too high and they stopped the check! Well, meanwhile the check had posted on my account, so I took out the money and closed my account... That was yesterday! Today, my (closed!) account is in minus, because they were still able to pull back that check! Am I responsible for balancing out the account?! Or is that between the bank and the people who issued the check? Please help! I need quick advice!!!

It is still your account so you will need to work out arrangements with the bank. The bank will continue to seek the original amount of the check plus NSF fees.

However, there is a far greater concern here. The check you received had a stop payment on it after it was deposited?? IMO, it seems to be a civil matter you can attest in court.

On the other hand, the monies from the check's face value was withdrawn and your account was closed after you were notified of a stop payment.

These seems more of a legal question than the original intent of this thread. More will be along to help with this one.

I agree.

You need to pay the bank and then file a civil court case to get the money from the writer of the check.

All court fees to file and NSF fees should be included in that filing.

Default payday loans and PDL

I have 3 loans; 1 w/check n go who has an actual check for $512 - I have paid on this loan 10 times resulting in about $1,200 being paid for a $500 loan, 1 w/Sonic payday - ach that was stopped for $1,007 - loan amt of $800 - which has been renewed at least 10 times which has resulted in my paying over $2,000 for an $800 loan, and 1 with Think Cash for $500 and I've paid about $344 on. After reading posts, I checked into state regulations and it looks like I could be prosecuted for the Check n Go because I am in Missouri and they have a paper check. I have closed my account per the advise of PDL. My first payment to PDL is due in just under 2 weeks. Has anyone else had experience with Check n Go turning the check over for prosecution?

They most likely won't. If they do anything they will file a civil case to get a judgement.

What state are you in?

You have the right to revoke any ACH debit to your account three days before they are do to post according to federal law.
