Help. 8 payday loans
Hello,
I live in the state of Maine and have gotten myself into the pdl circle. I would like to close my checking account after tomorrows payday. If I am in the postive can the pdl companies force open my account? After I close the account should I send them all letter to stop ACH withdrawals? Will this be considered fraud. I will pay them all back, but some of them I have been paying the intrest only since December of 2008 and can not keep going at this rate. I just need some advice please help. |

My Bank froze-put a hard block on my account due to fraudulent activity. Someone actually made checks with my name on them, filled in the amount, and signed my name to them. The bank has filed all the fraud paperwork, and I have filed a police report...........etc. The bank will not close my account until all the fraud claims are settled. My bank also adviced me NOT to open a new checking account because whoever comitted the fraud on my original account could very easily hack into the new account.
I have 3 payday loans that were receiving their payments by withdrawing them directly from my checking account. I called the pdl lenders and explained about the fraud on my account, how the bank had frozen it. And that I would not be opening a new account in the near future until the ones that hacked into my old account were dealth with upon advice from my bank. All 3 payday lenders told me that I could not revoke the ACH transactions agreement and that I must open a new account and give them the new account information. They said I must do this before my next payment date. If not they would be filing criminal charges for returned payment due to closed account and I would be going to jail. Oh and USPS money orders are not an option! I live in Missouri. The PDLs are CASHNETUSA $466.00 PAYDAYONE $593.75 MAGNUMCASH $238.40 Now What? |

When I discovered that outback bucks had gone in and taken money out of my acct. when I had already paid them off, I had to go into my bank and fill out a dispute form. I asked my bank about closing my acct, but the wonderful representative explained to me what could happen if I closed and had checks still out there. She and another associate had promised to watch out for more activity from this company and that any check that bounces would be held and not sent back to the store so that I would not occur any sort of fees. They also have reversed my overdraft fees from the bank. These two wonderful people understood my position and furthered my belief that if you simply explain to people what the situation is, ask for help, you will receive it. It is for this reason alone that I am going to continue an acct with this bank (despite the fact that I've opened another acct in another bank) but with a different acct. number. Let me just say that while I could have been really messed up, I am thankful for my bank's help.

Now What?,
Is it possible for you to open another acct in another bank? How in the heck would anyone, unless you told them, know that you opened another acct in another bank? When I realized that money had been taken from my acct wrongly, I quickly got another acct and moved my direct deposit to the new acct. Personally (and I could be wrong) it sounds like to me that the bank is simply looking out for themselves to make sure that you pay their fees that have been incurred. Other people have created C & D letters to pdl companies, and perhaps if you did this, you will feel less of the strain. Also, I read that someone else put a 'deposit only' option on their acct, so that could also help you. I've learned many a tip here, so I hope what I've learned will help you in some way, too. Also, about opening a new checking acct., no one ever said that you had to actually get checks. With a new acct., you can use them to cash your checks and use money orders to pay all of your bills until this mess is cleaned up. You can also put this new bank on alert that you are not authorizing checks or a debit card at this time due to the problems you are having. |

How do we pay off the debt?
I am going through this right now. I am about to call my bank to see if they can put a block on my account and take out the fees that incurred. Does anyone know how to pay them off? Their website link is broken.
