I have been dealing with PDL for over a year now and after having 7, I'm finally down to 3 online and 1 storefront I'm trying to close. Recently I lost my job and because of all the PDL, my account would be in the negative when I needed to pay my car note. Now without a job, I don't know what to do about my car. I have applied for un-employment and it will be starting soon, but I don't know how long I can hold off on my car. Can I consolidate and use my un-employment check to pay off my debts in order for me to keep my car?

grand, I remember you from the pdl fourm. I am so sorry that all this is going on with you. I know how if feels to go one step forward and 20 steps back. Sometimes it feels like it will never end. As you well know someone will be along soon to answer your question. Hang in there. Roxy

Definitely speak with your car finance company. In some situations they can take your payment that is due and put it at the end of your loan. There are quite a few different arrangements they can do to assist you so that you dont lose your car.

Some finance companies are willing to work with you. This happened to me once, I fell behind on my payments, and saw no end in sight. I finally bit the bullet (I was two payments behind) and called them and explained the situation, they let me make two interest payments for the two months I was behind which brought me up to date on my payments. They added the two payments onto the end of the loan, it all worked out thank God! Please let us know how things turn out for you.
