On 6/26/07 $84 was taken out of our checking account, I went to the bank and they printed off a copy of a check that was computerized and made out to JFYC, Just For You Communications. I called them to find out who they are, they are collecting for AOL, so I called AOL and they said neither of us has ever had an account with them. JFCY was supposed to refund my money by 8/3/07, never seen it yet. I filed complaint with the AG's office. I wish I would have filed the dispute at the bank but thought these guys were sounding reasonable. If this happens to you, file the dispute on your side of the payment, your bank. I am still trying to clear this up.

The same thing happened to me they are a fradulent company. Dispute it with your bank and you will get a refund. They act as though they have an account with Bank of America, but they have no knowledge of them, dispute it.

it happened on 6/25 I don't know if it is too late to dispute it or not. They did use bank of america to cash the check. Don't you only have 30 days to dispute it? who are they, they have a web page.

oooohhhhh........90 days? That's awesome! I'm glad to hear that! I thought it was a much shorter time period. But, then again, if I see something, I'm at the bank (like an annoying little fly) when they open the door at 9:00am!

This dispute was handled a little differently than the other dispute I had to file a while ago, this one had to be notarized. I explained to them that I have tried to get these fools to refund my money with no luck on my own. They said they will handle it, the lady did not know how long it would take to get the money back in my account though.

This company is originally a marketing company...they are Just For You Communications 115 Atrium Way Suite 220 Columbia, SC 29223. They are still in business there BBB has them listed on their website. I had them try to withdraw $110.00 from my account on July 24, 2007. I put a stop payment immediately (which cost me $20)but they did not get my money. However I called them and they were to send me paperwork authorized by AT&T. I have no accounts with AT&T. The strange thing is no one has stopped them and they are still in business..I just wanted to know how they got my banking info and who else they gave it too.

I have to go back to the bank today, they screwed up the paperwork again, this will be my third trip to take care of this mess. JFYC still has not refunded my money. I thought the bank would have it more together than this. There goes another lunch I don't get to eat!

Good Luck! I did file with the FTC and they did respond but that's been back in July. I don't understand how this is not fraud..since I read on another site they have done this at least 47 times...where is the law?

These people took 110.00 from my account on Friday. I have no idea who they are.

I'm amazed that some people are having problems with their banks. I bank with Wachovia and as soon as I saw the draft, I called up Wachovia's customer service and they referred me to their Loss Prevention dept. I explained everything to the rep and she refunded the 110.00 to my account while I was on the the phone. The money was back in my account the very next morning. Wachovia also closed my account and gave me a new one all over the phone.

I have no clue how these people got my checking account number, but after reading these posts and posts in other forums, they must somehow buy Pay Day loans or other types of accounts that require a checking account number.

I will never use my checking account number online for anything again. To pay my credit cards, I'll just write a check or use Wachovia or a company like PayTrust bill pay system.....

You are right...I have learned a hard lesson on that issue also. I am sure this JFYC got my personal info from a payday loan also..however the thing I don't understand is how they can keep on hitting people's accounts and get away with it. I filed with the FTC and that was back in July I have heard nothing since!

I'm getting frightened now! At least tm got his bank to take care of it and close that account. As soon as anyone notices an unauthorized debit (check your account every day), contact the bank immediately. The sooner you catch it, the easier it is for them to reverse off. I can not believe these people. It's scary how easily some people can get your account information. Of course, applying for pdl's is how they get it. But sometimes people haven't applied for pdl's and companies still get their bank account information. I am now a fanatic. I check my account every morning when I wake up. Sad. But I feel as though I have to do this.

I agree. I check my account every morning. I also check my two closed accounts, even though my banks do not force open closed accounts. My account now is at a completely different bank , but I am not comfortable until I see for myself/ I am so paranoid that I will probably check it until the day I die
