I've been reading through some of the threads and noticed one of the threads about Western Sky/Cash Call. Is this loan considered illegal even though technically it isn't a pdl? I have a loan that originated through Western Sky but they turned it over to Cash Call. I'm not entirely sure if the loan was originally with Western Sky because I never paid them but paid CC. I did initially make the loan through Western Sky. I am from Virginia and have paid about 500 dollars more than the principal so far (I've never gotten behind). How do I find out if the original loan was actually with Western Sky? It was all done online.
Western Sky is illegal. You have to check your account to know if the original loan was actually with Western Sky. You can also check your bank account statements.

I went to the Website of Western Sky and logged in. When I put in my info, they said my loan was transferred to Cash Call. I checked the original loan document from Cash Call and it lists Western Sky as the lender. So if my original loan was for 2500 and I've paid over 3,000, is my loan considered paid in full?
You actually overpaid given the fact that you did not owe anything more than $2500. File complaints with the AG and the FTC and send a letter to CashCall/Western Sky demanding a refund of $500.

Is there a form letter to send to this type of tribal lender and it's partner? I've heard that Cash Call can be very horrible to deal with if they claim that you defaulted on a loan. I mean I've paid way over the original loan by over 1500 dollars! I'm worried about being sued. Luckily though, my account with them is in a separate account that I set up just for them (nothing else comes out of that account) and it would be easy enough to close the account.

When I went in and figured out how much I actually have paid back, turns out that I've paid 4,300+ dollars on a 2500 loan! I guess that is about 1800 dollars more not 500 like I estimated before!!!

When I checked out how much I actually paid WS/CC, it was over 4,300! I've over paid by 1800 dollars not 500! Is there a form letter for this kind of loan (illegal tribal loan)?
I've read some scary comments about how C/C sues people whether or not it is an illegal loan or not. I'm really scared of being sued for stopping payments on this loan. Luckily though, I have a completely separate account just for this loan. I can easily close said account. I will admit that I am hesitant to stop but the monthly payments are really stretching my budget to the maximum and beyond.
