Do u have to close your bank accts before contacting them about PID loans? Just asking ?'s about over paying and discussing it further with them? What do you suggest? Thanks

I would only maintain contact with them via email because illegal lenders are known to harass and threaten. If you will list the following information we will be able to help you. By the way, I am moving this to the payday loan section so more people will see it. Smile

-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.
I'm sorry to tell you this, but there is only one sure way to stop the withdrawals, and that is to close your account. If that isn't an option, then tell the bank to put a hard debit block on your account. Closing your bank account gives you control over your money and prevents them (PDL) from continuing to debit your account. If you close your account and they cannot access it, then they know you mean business and will usually be willing to work with you. (In essence, if they can still get money from you, then why would they want to give you a PIF? That would prevent them from making huge profits off of you!)

Do NOT tell them that you are going to close your account, because they will debit it faster than a New York minute, I promise you that, if they think you're going to do it.
