I am going to go to the bank this morning to see about closing my account and I am so freaking out. Anybody have some encouraging words?

If you are closing it to stop payday loans you are getting control of your life again! Be sure to check your banks policy in regards to forcing it back open for an ACH withdrawal. Some banks will do this but not that many. Open an account with a different bank and do not give that info to anyone. There have been instances where payday lenders have gotten the new bank info from new loans applied for from different companies.

I haven't sent any letters out and wouldn't have time before loans are due to hit my bank again. I need to try to stop before they do as T@C has told me to do. Hope my credit union will work with me. I am in good standing with them.
