I have about 12,000 of debt but the biggest prob is the payday loans. I cannot find a way to get out from under them and they take about 1/2 of my monthly income. I hope you will be able to help me. Thanks

You both can discuss your options with the counselor referred by this website. He will be able to figure out a suitable plan and negotiate lower payments with your creditors. Make sure that you have understood the plan thoroughly and get started. Congratulations on taking the first step towards being debt free. You are moving on the right direction.

Can you list some more information about your situation?
What state are you in?
What payday loan companies have you borrowed from?
How much was each loan?
How much have you paid back so far in fees and such?
Are they storefronts or internet based companies?
