Hi Guest...I am reading your post but trying to understand what your question is ? Are you asking if you can still close your account out tomorrow (monday) even though you have storefronts due on Friday??

ok..if you close the account and nothing will go through, you should contact the storefronts to make payment arrangements asap.

Defintely contact the store fronts. Since they mostly work within the law...once you default they should be able to make payments arrangements with you...and usually the interest and fees will stop then allowing you to pay on the principle.

HArris, when you do contact the storefronts, try to deal only with a store manager or district manager in person.

HArris we all have made some variation of a mess with our finances. I have received so much help here that I am happy to give some in return. Also, did you get the pm I sent you?

If our "guest" is still Harris (and I'm assuming it is?), you can close your account if you're in Kentucky. This is if "guest" is still Harris and you are in Kentucky. If the storefront gets a check returned NSF or closed account, you need to contact them (or they will contact you) and tell them "oops, sorry" and make payment arrangements with them. Criminal action is prohibited in Kentucky. They can't get you for a "bad check". But you do need to pay them. But if they do get a check back due to a closed account, they will either call you or send you a letter. Just contact them (the manager) and set up payments. And only say what you can actaully afford to pay. Don't promise what you can't keep. Once payments are set up, stick to them. If you have any questions, please post. Or if I've gotten confused (since I'm a few days behind here!), just straighten me out!

Sorry I havent been on in awhile, have been working alot. Yes Cannr I was the guest. I forgot to sign in. I have contacted the storefronts, but Cash Express refused to take payment arrangements saying that they do not allow payment arrangements anymore. I have no way to pay them in full and that is what they are requesting. I have written letters to each ipdl revoking wage assignments, but I dont know what to do about Cash Express, any suggestions?

HArris. Welcome back. I was wondering what happened to you. Cannr should be along to help you with Cash Express. Did they tell you what their procedure was if you can not pay?

Cash Express is a member of the CFSA. Go in person, talk to the manager, and print out this link. Because they are members of the CFSA they are REQUIRED to allow you to enter into an extended repayment plan. If they still say no, file a complaint with the CFSA. They could lose their membership.

harris, were you able to click on goudah's link? This is awesome! If they are indeed a member and you take this to them, they will know you're not "stupid". Apparently you can pay in 4 pmts and the fees will stop. Awesome!

goudah, how can you check to see what storefronts are a member of this????

Yes Cannr I clicked on Goudah's link and that is really good to know! I just hope they dont try to say that because I didnt ask for that arrangement on the day before the due date that it doesnt apply. They seem to be really hard to deal with stating that they had a meeting last week with Corporate and that they will no longer take payment arrangements due to "customer abuse" of this practice.

Cannr - If you go to their website there is a members list . . . I also have the list posted in this thread:

harris - give it a shot. So it won't be the day before the due date. It certainly wouldn't hurt to give it a try anyway. Especially if they said they "don't take payments anymore" and they are a member of this!

goudah - thank you! I printed everything out. If only I had this list some time ago....... It's wonderful. Thank you. I know a few people that this will help!
