has anyone ever heard of this company loan/whistle? I just noticed on my last month statement they cut me twice and I don't even know who they are. I tried a search on the internet but found nothing under that name.

They are a pdl co did you take out an internet pay day loan? There should be some contact information o your bank statement perhaps a telephone number. Do a search on this site and you will see alot of contact information on them.

I have had a payday loan with loanshop and i looked on my bank statement and there is no whistle behind it. Mine did not have a phone number either. I have gotten calls from westbury ventures in regards to loan shop so I am wondering if it is associated. They sure are sneaky

grandcherrokijeep Loan Shop uses different names after its name maybe to identify different lenders. I had two loans with them one was loanshop/redhorse and the other loanshop/mountorread but, its all the loan shop. They have the same email and fax based on the renewal emails they sent me.
FAX 1-800-757-8373
customerservice(at)ltsmanagement.com
I also have this address for them from when they sent me letters saying I qualified for another loan:
The Loan Shop
2207 Concord Pike Suite 505
Wilmington, DE 19803
Hope this helps.
tlmjcj Wesbury Ventures collects for Loan Shop so yes they are associated.

Good for you Grand, it will be great when you can say you are done with them for good and not have to worry about who is debting your account.

They are listed by the name XPRESSCASH at the BBB in Wilmington DE. It is also Westbury Ventures, Loanshop, Loan PointUSA, LTS Management, DMSMarketing, SMTM,LLC and Whistler Loan Holding Shop. They all use this number..800-859-6439.
If you wish to file a complaint use the BBB of Wilmington DE that seems to be the only place they are listed. You can check out the posts on here associated with all these names...they are all bad.

Don't know if i can trust them after almost $1000 our on a $300 loan, but I spoke with a rep there named Anthony and he assured me the account was being closed and I shouldn't see anymore debits from loan/whistle. he told me that they had been sending emails to my account and it was going to the bulk mail for me to payoff, paydown or just pay the interest and since i wasn't repsonding they were just taking the interest. he was really nice and polite I just hope they follow through with what they promised, to write it off as paid. anyone else need to contact them, their # is 800-757-0122
thanks everyone for your info and help,

I believe I got a refund for the over payments. I am in NC, so they weren't allowed to lend here anyway. Check what your state law is for pdls and see how much they can actually charge you and then go from there. I will almost bet money that they will owe you a refund and then you just have to hound them a bit. No guarantees that they will send you one, but it sure is worth a shot. When you start this, I would correspond with them via email so you have everything in writing.

yes i was overcharged a lot, but to know that they promise me the account would be closed and not debits would be taken out is enough for me. I will check to see if they were liscensed or not, but I'm afraid if I call back asking about a refund they may try to debit the account again. I did ask for an email stating that the account is officailly closed as of 1/11/08, but I haven't received it yet.

If youi are worried that they will debit your account again, go ahead and send them a letter stating that you are revoking your authorization to debit your account. Take a copy of that letter to your bank and and keep an eye on your account so that way if they debit it again, you can go right into the bank and let them know it was an unauthorized debit and they should reverse the charge. I really didn't have a whole lot of trouble getting my refund from them. But do check out the laws in you state. That way if push comes to shove, you have something to fall back on, including the AG's office to help if need be. Do not be afraid of these people. If you are entitled to a refund, you should go for it. These people count on people being scared of them, but don't be. If need be, you can close out your account and reopen another one and do not give them your information on your new account. Be strong and hang in there and and like I said, if your are entitled to a refund, which I am sure you are, fight for it! Wouldn't have a few hundred (or a little more) be worth a little fight? If you are like the rest of us, you could use the extra money.

Good News from loanshop/whistler - Here's a copy of the letter stating that my account would be closed, no refund, but the account is closed, they were really nice and didn't give me no problem.
Ms. XXXXX,
Per our phone conversation, I have agreed to close your account with our company as of 1/11/08 which will be your last fee payment. We will no longer be debiting from your account as long as the fee on the 11th of Jan Cleared.

I thought that you said that you have already over paid them. What in the wth would they be debiting your account again for . I would not let them do that and would let them now that for sure.
I don't trust them and would consider closing your checking account asap unless you trust your bank. I personally wouldn't trust these people as far as I could throw them.
