Ok guys my direct deposit is going in soon to me new account. Im still trying to get PIFs from quickest-cash-advance, oneclick and Ameriloan. I am afraid they may try to get my money somehow through ACH debit or my HR department but I haven't heard anything from HR about any wage assignments against me. I am waiting on BBB to respond. Just a little worried. Spoke with oneclick they are still trying to debit a closed account. I work for the county government in NC, goudah, cannr or who can help are wage assignments legal in NC?

PDL lending is illegal in North Carolina. It's illegal for the loan company to do business in your state and debit money from an account already closed. You need to file your complaints with the state attorney general's office and the BBB. Be pro-active. You should immediately close the account after having the direct deposit, otherwise they will take away that money from your account.

Sfate, If the money is going into your new accountit should be ok. You did not give the new number to anyone did you? The IPDL will not be able to get your new account info.

I have not given out my new account info. Just wondering if they can garnish my paycheck. I sent wage revocation assignments by email to all of them but oneclick is still trying to debit.

If they are illegal they can not do anything.
Did you send letters revoking any voluntary wage assignments?
Honestly i think you are ok

Sfate- do not give out the new acct information for any reason and you should be okay. I would talk directly to my payroll dept and make sure they understand that these illegal companies may try to get to your wages but they are indeed ILLEGAL. They should work with you. Some of these PDLs will try debiting your closed acct until the cows come home. Take a deep breath and I think you will be okay.

sfate, you're okay. You're new bank account is safe with your direct deposit. All of your pdl's are MTE related. MTE pdl's do not have a "wage assignment" attached to them. You revoked any wage assignment you may have signed anyway, just to cover your butt. These pdl's will NOT have access to your new bank account as long as you do not give your account information to anyone. MTE pdl's will continue to try to debit your old account until the Earth ends. Each debit will be rejected/returned. They will still keep trying. As long as your old account is CLOSED with the assurance of it not being "forced open" by pdl debits, you shouldn't get hit with any pdl debits or any bank fees. You don't have to worry. MTE has been trying to debit my old account for months now (they never give up). They have no access to my new account. Hasn't been touched. MTE pdl's do not send anything to your employer. Take my word for it. Hell, I would have gotten something by now if they did! You may even not hear another word from your MTE pdl's again. It's like they disappear; however, they're attempts at debiting that old account won't stop, so you know they're still alive (unfortunately). Do not worry. Your paycheck will be safe. They won't send anything to your employer. They may not even contact you again. They're too busy trying to debit a closed account. Morons. Rest easy, sfate. You're okay.

They will debit you FOREVER. Horrible, horrible. I am so "against" them. Can you tell? I promise you, sfate. They won't stop. I hate to be a "downer", but I'm being honest. Watch them. But, they won't touch your new account, if you open a new one. So, don't worry about that. If you do decide to open a new account, go to a different back just to be on the super safe side! But, like I told you, they just keep on trying to hit my "old" account. Over and over. For months. You'd think they'd be bored with it by now!
