UGH - I had such a great post and I got an error when I hit submit. I hate when that happens. Anyway I tried to login in to my accounts on both sites and both logins failed. I faxed a letter to CPD late last week telling them I was no longer going to send moneygrams now that I had paid back past the principle and also had paid more than 25% interest. Do you think they have closed me out?
If they have I will have only 3 outstanding loans left. That means I would have been able to get 12 PIF's. I can't believe it and I won't count on it yet. Of the 3 left one is Cash2day4u (they are never seeing another dime) One is ameriloan - I'm an old customer but it was a new loan so I do owe principle but I will need a payment plan with no interest. And the last one is 800-899-CASH. They are licensed but have this reup program that really sucks you in so I'm hoping the AG will help settle this one out.
If you had told me two months ago that I would be sitting here typing this now I would never had believed it. This site and all of you supporters have been a Godsend.

mperez...I am also with Discount Advance and sent my fax on Friday, got a call on Tuesday and a nasty email today about the FBI and everything...I was able to log in this morning, but am unable to log in now, since I tried it just now after reading your post...whats up?

Mperez, I wouldn't get your hopes up yet with DCA and MCN, they can be ruthless, but I'm hoping for the best for you!
Have you managed to get any refunds from these bloodsuckers?

No refunds and at this point I don't even think that is a possability but you never know. I was working with Jill from CPD to send my moneygram payments. She was leaving me voice mails Thursday and Friday but then after the fax I haven't heard anything.
My package to the AG was about 1 and 1/2 inches thick. I included a summary letter, a summary chart of loans, contact info, date of loan, loan amount and paid to date. I then filled out a complaint form on each lender. I attached a copy of the contract and if there had been any communication I included copies of that also.
I also included a copy of that testimony I found against payday loans, that itself was 19 pages but it had some great state claims and cases. I'll keep you posted what I hear. I'm heading out of town next Wednesday and will be gone 10 days so I won't be on much.

I am thrilled but I also still have that feeling like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I am getting back in control of my finances. It still is tight because I have a few things I am catching up with but the rent has been on time for 2 months now and there have been no disconnection notices on utilities. So yes I guess I would say I am elated! To all of us we have to remember there is hope! Sometimes when things got rough I would forget that.

Thanks Cannr - yep I started with 15. I started a blog and when I get some more time and get all my notes together I'm going to put my experience down to help other NY'ers from getting the run around I did. I want to pay it forward for all the help you and others have given me - I would have never thought this was all possible.

Do not get a loan from anyone of the PDL lenders. None
are trustworthy, and you will be in big trouble . Trust me, we have all been there.Please seek out other means if you need emergency cash. again please do not take out an emergency loan. Read thru the threads here and you will see all the problems that are caused by them

thank u for the quick reply kashzan. now, earlier this day i had applied at mycashnow over the phone. so they took my infos. the only thing that i haven' done yet is to fax the required papers in order for me to get the loan. with ur help, i just changed my mind about the whole thing and im not going to borrow from them anymore. now, is it still necessary for me to call them and ask to pull my name and info out from their system coz im afraid they might charge m for something that i never received. Thank you kashzan!!!

I would certainly be sure that they CANCEL the loan. So often if they have your bank info they will put the loan thru anyways. Make sure they will not try to debit yiur account and take your money, Call them now and please let me know how you make out with them.

yeah i just called the company and they were nice enough to cancel my request for the PDL application. im really glad ive came across this forum and talked to u just before i went ahead with my aplication. that was a really desperate move from me. thanks again kashan
