OMG.. these people are ruthless. I just had a call from Robert James who said that he was with White Collars. Saying that US National Bank, who ever that is, is "downloading" to the county where I live an arrest warranty for me for a loan in March of 2006. First of all... PDL are illegal in NC; Second... you cannot "download" a warrant! When I told him that I had already contacted the attorney generals office and that PDL's are illegal in the state of NC, he informed me that this wasn't take out in NC... I said yea I know, therefore it is invalid!!!! He called me "STUPID" and slammed the phone in my face. I'm not sure whether to laugh or get pissed off.

they like to use intimidation tactics to get money out of people...They are not "downloading" you and you will not be arrested...I would go ahead and file a complaint against them with your AG

You can bet your bottom dollar that I am filing another complaint! He wasn't real happy when I informed him that I use to work for the County Attorney and that he was lying. Trust me, they don't scare me.

I honestly do not know who the PDL company allegedly was, it has been so long ago since I dealt with any of this. I contacted each PDL that I had and paid them the proper amount that they were owed according to the laws of NC. Do they really think that we are that stupid! Everyone knows that you can't "download" a warrant! He is the stupid one.

LOL! Good Point! I guess we should all be aware that these thieves are hiding in the bushes even after we settle the debt with the AG's help. However, I would like to know if anyone else has ever heard of him before.

Well about a year ago I got a nasty call saying I was going to be downloaded too....I was crying so bad at work it made me sick. I was told to come up with X amount of money as well. I never paid them because my employer told me what they were doing was wrong. I wised up found this board and I'm so glad I did. You mentioned something about US National Bank- last month I got a call from an Alex Divine saying that had committed fraud/ asked if I had ever been on probation/ or arrested? When I asked what the amount was he told me that " they dont want your money"! I'm like then why are you calling me....he hung up on me. I filed complaints.

So that is the latest tactic! I was asked the same thing and told that if i was on probabtion I would need to contact my officer! Good grief! I think next time I will tell asked the person what city/state they are calling from and tell them that I am on probation for murder! Then of course follow up with calling them ugly names.

One more funny thing... he offered to quote me the law... when I asked NC Law? he said no law in the state you took money from... I said why do I care about that... I live in NC.

These companies are just so slimey! I was lucky enough that I found this site BEFORE I had those calls so I was prepared otherwise I probably would have just died!
