Eastside Lenders

I know I am becoming the POST queen with all my questions, but I am having trouble with Eastside Lenders. I originally took out a loan for 300.00. I have since paid them 462.50. Their payment was returned (of course) so now they want $287.50. I have sent them several e-mails and no response. I told them I would send them money just to buy a little time. From what I have researched, they are not licensed in Florida and they have allowed my loan to roll over numerous times. The next thing to do would be to send them a letter via certified mail, right? I want to get this one paid in full; I don't even want the refund. You can't get anywhere with them as far as e-mails and I don't really feel like taling to them. Is this the best course of action for me???

I think it is . . . . Sending the letter certified mail gives you proof that they actually recieved it. You may have to send it out several times before you get a response . . . . Just be patient and keep at them!

I kind of lied to them and told them I would send the money via moneygram, just to buy some time. I probably shouldn't have done that, but I am sending them a letter today via certified mail. I want to fax it to them as well, but do not have a fax number.

I don't blame you for telling them that, you did what you had to do. Make sure you file complaints against them and let them know you have done that.

Bublefan1, don't send money to this company. Draft a letter with the laws of your state and ask them to prove how they show an outstanding balance. Tell them that you will be showing their response to your attorney general for further advice and you don't deny paying if there is an outstanding balance. Email a copy of this letter to your attorney general also.

I do not owe them any money! I have overpaid on this loan by almost $200.00. I just filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Financial Regulation and will also file a complaint with the attorney general

Make them say that you don't owe anymore, because right now they want you to send $287.50. If they don't send you anything, be sure to get your account marked PIF

I received a letter from them. I owe them and haven't paid any on it yet. They blew off my "state laws" and claim they abide by Delaware and will spout off their state laws to you. The claimed they are prepared to go to arbitration, blah, blah, blah. I wouldn't Money Gram ANYONE money. The letter is from Eastside Lenders 103 Foulk Rd, Suite 101, Wilmington, DE 19803. The number they told me to call regarding my loan is 800-689-5603 to make payment arrangements. When I do contact them, if they want a Money Gram, they can kiss my a$$. They will keep claiming Delaware laws. Unless you're in Delaware, keep sending them your state laws. Don't give in. They're nuts, too. Along with the rest of them. But at least this is the address their correspondence came from for you.

vic, your account got hit? Did you close your old account and open a new one and they hit it? Was it Eastside Lenders? And if you did close your account and opened a new one, was it at the same bank?

how did you have an outstanding balance if they're using your checking account to withdraw the money isn't that profit.
