Received a collection letter from Valentine & Kebartas, Inc collecting for ECARE CONTACT CENTERS. I never heard of either of these companies. However, research on the internet sounds like ECARE is a collection agency for internet payday loan companies. Does anyone have any information? I did have several payday loans.

I believe that ECARE is the official name for Cash Transfer Centers. Did you have a payday loan with them?

Bobster,
I would check this previous forum post.
http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/certified-receipt.html
This will give you all the information you needed to know. By the way, what state are you from? If you are from California or West Virginia there are Cease and Desist orders against this company, which means all PDLs are invalid, illegal and criminal action could be taken against E-Care Contact Centers.
E-Care Contact Centers is the parent company for CashTransfer Centers, SonicPayday, Payday Avenue to name three. They are based out of Surrey, BC and Winnipeg, MB with mailing addresses in Malta, and other U.S. addresses. All mail eventually goes to either Winnipeg and/or Surrey.

I actually have their mailing address in Surrey, BC if it is needed. That is where I sent my letter to them, and receipt of it was acknowledged.

Yes, I had a loan with Payday Avenue. I'm guessing they are behind this one. The letter I rec'd was forwarded to me from a previous address. Up until now all communication has been through email. I have a debt validation letter written and ready to send to the Valentine & Kebartas people. Hate to respond with my current address. Any comments?
BTW, has anyone ever heard of Valentine & Kebartas, Inc.?

No I haven't heard of them. If you send them a validation letter via certified mail/return receipt, so you'll have proof that the letter was received and signed for, you'll have to provide your mailing address. But, if you include a cease & desist any communication to you by telephone in the letter, they at least shouldn't harass you on the phone.
