A company acquired the business I worked and instead of being payed on the 1st and 15th of every month the company choose to put all salary employees every two weeks for it to be all one pay day for the building. They had to go back and give everyone with the change an advance but in May we had 3 pay periods and they took the advance they gave is in January out of the checks in May. Since then I've had to take out walk in loans and online loans. I have all the papers at work for the exact amounts and interest on them but it totals to be 16 loans between 300$ and 900$. I'm out of options and sinking fast and don't know what to do. Any advice at all would be helpful. Ive read the posts about closing the bank account getting a new one and putting a hold on the payments to make sure the old bank account isn't re-opened. Is there anything else I could do or any other options? Will be getting all the info from the pdl places tomorrow and post it if it will help.

Hiya and welcome to the community, we really need more information, names of each pdl, amount borrowed and paid back so far, whether they are store front or Internet. As soon as you can furnish that information, someone will be more able to assist you.

Flames, for sure the two you are going to have to deal with are the store fronts. They and can take action to get their money. Do you still have your contracts? In Texas some pdls are listed as CSO ( Credit service Organizations) not pdls. It would be stated on the contract. If you could look at them and see if any have CSO or Credit Service Organization listed on them..it would help us. Some of these companies I am not familiar with. Being listed as a CSO helps the company get around the pdl laws. If the company is a pdl, the pdl must be licensed in Texas to lend in Texas otherwise they are operatign illegally. I will post your laws for you to look at...

I can tell you that One Click, 500 Fast Cash, Paycheck Today will not be licensed or legal... I am thinking there are a couple more that will not be licensed as pdl. CHeck n Go, is that a store front, or did you do that on line...they are both and did you take out an installment loan or a pdl loan with them?

Also, is your store front, ACE Cash Express or Advance Cash Express (ACE)? This will make a difference in how you deal with them.

I'm not sure if I have the online contracts. I would have to go though all the papers and look. And it is Ace Cash Express. Its across the street from me. Check -n- go I did online and it was a Payday loan.

And is there any advice or way I could check to see if some of the online lenders are legal so I can set up a payment priority plan?

Ok... I have meetings the rest of the afternoon, I will check up on this thread this evening, and finish your leg work on the licensing if needed. once we know about the licensing we can help you figure out what your options are. Just hang in there. Roxy

Looking over a lot of these threads some of the ipdl's I got are coming from illegal places. I'm trying to get the full list of how many of these are in fact illegally ran and then how many if any are in breach of the Texas laws. With the auto payment coming right out of my account i believe some of these 300-400$ ipdl's have already been payed off. If I'm reading correctly then the illegal ones I only owe the principal like from "One Click Cash" I owe the initial 300$ and not the 390$ that they say I still owe. (Have paid 200$ so far though the auto deduction pay.) If anyone could help me with either a list or a way to look through and so I can start finding out which ones are legal and illegal it would be greatly appreciated.

I've checked on most all of these companies at one time or another.

Check your contracts - It's possible some of the internet ones are CSO's under another name. But it will say in the contract very clearly that they are a CSO, or Credit Service Organization. But most of these companies I know are not legally operating. Cashwink is the only one I'm not sure of.

So BIG ACH, Paycheck today Paycheck, and Fast cash loans are also under that illegal section? I'm having a hard time finding my cash wink contract. The website is Cashinawink(dot)com if that will help. I'm looking over some of the contracts now as well.
