Payday loan debt

has anyone dealt with ameriloan, Impact Cash, United Cash Loan, Urgent Cash loan or Total Lending? I'm going to be defaulting on them when the next fees are due because my checking account is closing and I was wondering how easy they are to work with regarding repayment.

Hi Joy! Welcome to the forum! I have dealt with United Cash Loans and I must say that they are a pain in the rear end...but, they are completely illegal. I have yet to run across a state that they are licensed in.

Tell us a little more about your situation. We need to know what state you are in, how much you owe the pdls, how much you have paid so far, and which ones are internet and storefront.

Please send the information that Eleroo requested and we will be more than happy to help. ameriloan was pretty easy for me to deal with, but others on here have had problems with them. I guess they pick and choose who they are going to harass. They are an illegal company. I also have dealt with Impact Cash. They are not licensed in Florida and wanted to spout laws at me but when I told them that I had already talked to FLorida's AG and they wanted me to file a report Impact Cash was quick to respond and agree with my terms to keep me from filing with Florida's AG. Please read the sticky at the top of the main PDL page on closing your bank account.

I live in Minnesota, I have $150 with ameriloan $150 with United Cash, $200 with Impact Cash, $300 with Urgent Cash and $300 with Total lending, I've only paid the loan extension fees on all of them. I've extend ameriloan 4 times at $45 each time, Unite cash 3 times at $45 each, impact cash once at $60, total lending 3 times at $90 each, urgent cash 3 times at 60 each time. I can't do this anymore so I decided to close my checking account before the next withdrawl date, I asked them not to take the money out last payday but they all said due to state regulations they had to take them.

According to what Goudah posted: In Minnesota

Internet companies can lend legally as long as they are licensed in another state. They must follow the laws of that state.

ameriloan is not licensed. You have already paid back $180 on a $150 loan. They are all doing rollovers which is not permitted in your state.

Impact Cash you have paid $60 on a $200 loan leaving you owing $140. Need to verify whether Impact Cash is licensed in your state or has a license in another stat. If it is then you would have to add one interest payment because of no rollovers allowed.

United Cash you have paid a total of $135 leaving $15 that you owe. They are an illegal company. You need to pay principle only.

The other two companies I am not sure of whether they are licensed or not. If they are not licensed then you only owe principle. Urgent Cash you would owe $180. Total Lending you would owe $30.

Sorry I was in the middle of writing my response and had to go chase my 3 year old away from the stove. Did not see that Bikergirl had replied in the meantime.

Minnesota is another one that follows another state's laws if licensed? Oops. Then if Impact Cash is licensed you will have to follow their state's laws on PDLs. Anyone know if Impact Cash is licensed anywhere?

Where can I find letters telling the payday loan people to stop debiting my account, so I can bring that verification to my bank so they know if any ARH debits try to go through on my closed account they don't reopen it.
Thanks again for all your help, I swear once I get these paid off what I legally owe I will never get another one, they are loan sharks plain and simple.

I thought I replied but I don't see it so I'll ask again, where can I find the letter to send to my payday loans telling them to stop debiting my checking account, I'm going to close my account so I want to show the bank that I revoked the ARCH's so my closed account doesn't get reopened.
thanks! I swear once I get these loan sharks paid what I legally owe them I will never get another one! I've learned my lesson!

All you have to do is write a letter saying as of (date) I revoke your right to debit my bank account that you have on file or any future accounts.
and sign it.
Put your account number if you know it on the letter also. Your acct # with the PDLs not your bank account #.
I put in mine a request for all contact via email or USPS also.
