I filed on several pdl companies on the bbb and MTE continues to rebuttle the fact that I paid $500.00 on a $300.00 loan. They said they charged off the account and that they offered me a fair settlement of $300.00 to take care of the loan. I have rebuttled them each time and have requested it state PIF as well as refund me the $200.00 that they owe me. If i continue to fight them do u think they will give in and mark it PIF. These people are idiots.

TLM, personally, I would not give in. Keep fighting them for the PIF. IF they have charged off the account, who did they give it to for collections?

That is what i thought too. I am not going to give in to these people. Why should i when they took $200 from me. Who knows maybe they will get sick of me lol One can only hope.

tlm, take it from someone who never did settle with MTE. Those jerks. I, too, overpaid. However, every single thing they ever sent - to me or the BBB or my state AG (if anything) was that they wanted MORE money. Nope. These loans were already overpaid and they stated they were not paid. Nope. Will not settle with any MTE related d/b/a. No way in hell. They stopped responding to the BBB. They NEVER responded to my state AG's THREE letters they sent. So, oh well. Yes, I'm out my overpayments. However, I'll be damned if I sent them another dime.
