Ok, T & C starts on Monday. YEA!! I finally have the money to do this. Checksmart and express say my deadline , final, final deadline is Dec. 14. becasuse it was sent to their legal department and I begged them for the 14th. Now, my question is does express/checksmart always go through legal mediation first or is it a strauight civil matter. When T & C calls them monday it may be too late. What do I do?

checksmart is a storefront in ohio. T & C wont budge until the money is in. And I cant borrow the mnoney from someone

Checksmart is a CFSA member. Did you ask them for a plan under the rules of that organization. They are required to offer it as a member before they take any action. I would contact CFSA and see what they can do for you. You can easily find them on line.

They have offered me payment plans, but I have not been able to uphold my baragin. But I would get scared and say something I know I could not do. Then I found T & C, they told me not to worry. I am worried. Everyone else whom I have loans with is ok with waiting for T & C, but checksmart and express are nasty people.

I am this close to getting turned around. I keep hearing about legal mediation hearing and that sounds ok I just dont want a wage garnishment or jail time

look up posts about express pra and checksmart, especially the ones from Ryan.He has dealt with both of these lenders and was sent to check mediation with both of them. From what he has told me its really no big deal. Good Luck!

I don't know for sure if they use mediation everytime. I would think they do since its cheaper and would take less time than a court hearing.
