Interesting development today. The Minnesota Attorney General's Office sent Ashland Marketing a letter demanding their license number to lend in Minnesota.
Today I got an email from them: It says the following: Applicant# 91421 Dear , Your account with Ashland Funding was sent to Debt Management Partners, 1-800-883-9067 Thank you, iCollect Now what do I do. I will contact the Attorney General's office and see if I can forward this email to them. But how interesting that this happens days after a letter was sent to them. I just hope they dont start calling my work again. So far all calls have stopped since the letter went out to the PDL companies. Any ideas???? |

Here is an old discussion on the same situation. You may find it an useful reading. Seems like popular practice.
Anyway, I wouldn't have sweat much over it. If they call you just tell them that they are collecting on an illegal loan and hit them with a DV. |

You're doing the right thing by forwarding this to your AG, also forward it to the FTC.
