Alright I am up to 5 (yes 5) loans. I was out of work for a while and needed the help but now the fees are killing me. I have read some companies are legal and some are not, I can close my bank account or change it to deposit only. I have no idea what to do I live in NY and use Wachovia. The companies I have loans through are:
MAGNUM_Z DIRECT
FOX ENTERPRISES
A2B CASH
500 FAST CASH
FTR (ALSO USES JBM) PROCESSING.

I cannot afford my next fees which are due between 10/13 - 10/15. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do?

That is so true....................................They do not care but when you point it out to them they want to scream that you have no rights.

Its the same in CT, they are prohibited, but have no problems issuing to the people here...unfortunately our Attorney General's office is just starting to find out how much of a problem they are.

This may be a bogus question but does that mean if I close my bank account I won't have to pay them back then? Besides the fact that I have been paying the finance fees since July so they are technically well beyond paid back anyway.!!

Go to this thread, and there is a post by Shazzers (4th from the bottom) that will give you some more help on what you should do. Also, when you revoke voluntary wage assignments, be sure that you give a copy of that to your employer, in case any of the PDLs try to invoke them anyway.

Basically, people here generally recommend that you pay back the principal amount that you borrowed, even though the lender is legally not allowed to lend in your state.
