I just got a call from National Bank (I think that is what they said) who is the parent company of Payday yes. This guy stated that he is from the legal department. They tried to call my former employer and I am no longer there. He then got pretty threatening about how they could run the databases they had and they would find my current employer and contact their payroll department to start garnishment procedures. Can they do this?
Thanks

They are not a bank! They are a bunch of idiots that will one day face jail time if they don't stop violating federal banking laws for posing as a bank. It is not National Bank but something like US National Bank that they use. Just ignore them. They are full of you know what! To start garnishment first they have to go to court where you live, where they are not licensed to operate, and try to get a judgement on an illegal loan. How much did you borrow from them? How much have you paid them and what state are you in?

Frog, Topping, I think, if I remember correctly, this PDL Yes was good for wage assignments (wage assignment and wage garnishment are two different things). Frog, do you remember?

Frog,
I borrowed either 200 or 300 from them I believe I have paid them over that. I don't have my records with me. I have already sent them a fax revoking all wage assignments. He did say garishment not assignment. I'll have to look up and see if I have their contract.
Thanks

These people are also good about saying the FBI is now involved and so forth. Expect them to tell you nothing but lies!

And there is no way they can find your current employer. The only people who can do that are the IRS and Social Security--who can only do that after your employer reports wages for you for that quarter. Relax, they're just a big bunch of blowhards...
